About the Shop

The Hammer and Horn is where Lumeris arms itself. Swords, axes, bows, and daggers of every class and material line its walls, and its smiths can size, engrave, and enamel a piece to fit its owner. The staff knows the weapon laws of every race and class, and will not sell what your character cannot legally carry.

Weapon Price List

Here are the weapons available to purchase from the Hammer and Horn, along with any restrictions on the ability of a character to equip or even lift such items. They are grouped by weapon class, from the simplest arms to the most punishing. Tap any weapon for its full description.

AGrade A · Common Arms22 items

Simple arms that need little training: clubs, daggers, staves, slings, whips, and other everyday weapons. Every class in Lumeris may carry Grade A weapons — from Warrior, Knight, and Paladin down to the Monk, Priest/ess, and Seductress, whose training stops at this grade. Any race permitted to bear arms may wield them, though the Fae and Nymph courts do not fight with weapons at all, and lighter builds like the Felari and Halflings do best here.

BGrade B · Uncommon Arms32 items

Trained weapons that reward practice: most swords, maces, spears, crossbows, and hammers. Every class may carry Grade B except the Monk, Priest/ess, and Seductress, who are limited to Grade A. Races with a natural STR bonus — Orcs, Centaurs, Minotaurs, and Drakari — handle the heavier pieces with ease, while smaller kin such as Felari and Halflings are better served by the lighter ones. The Iron Claw is a particular favourite of the Felari.

CGrade C · Rare Arms13 items

Advanced weapons for trained hands: long bows, lances, pole arms, repeating crossbows, and the elven warbow. Knights, Paladins, Warriors, Warlords, Warrior Mages, Rangers (bows only), Rogues (short blades and bows only), Bards (rapiers, daggers, and hand-crossbows only), Clerics (blunt weapons only), Druids (wooden weapons, staves, slings, and bows — no metal blades), Shamans (clubs, staves, and thrown weapons only), and Laymen (simple weapons only) may carry this grade. The pure mage classes, the Necromancer, Hierophant, Mist Raider, Healer, Artisan, Entertainer, Monk, Priest/ess, and Seductress may not. The Elven Warbow is never sold over the counter: it is a Sylvan or High Elven prize, or the reward for a good story.

DGrade D · Epic Arms8 items

The heaviest weapons on the racks: great swords, the buster sword, crusher axes, great hammers, and the zweihander. Only four classes may carry Grade D — Knight, Paladin, Warrior, and Warlord — and only characters who meet their punishing STR requirements can lift them at all. This is the natural ground of the great races: Orcs, Centaurs, Minotaurs, and Drakari, whose natural STR bonuses make such weapons usable far earlier than for smaller kin.

—Ungraded · Ammunition and Special Pieces9 items

Ammunition and rare pieces that sit outside the four grades. Arrows, bolts, darts, sling bullets, and ballista bolts are carried by whoever can use the weapon that fires them, are consumed on use, and still take an equipment slot. Others are bound to a bloodline or an oath: the Drakari Stinger may only be worn by Drakari, and the Crystal Sword may only be wielded by an Elysian or a Paladin — Elysian smiths alone can forge it.
