The Living Network of Lumeris
Lunari Cosmology
The Lunari believe Lumeris exists within a living cosmic network called the Astral Weave — an invisible lattice of energy that connects every plane, every moon, every soul, and every remnant world pulled together by the Luminary Heart during the Shattering of Eternities.
According to their teachings, the Weave is not a metaphor. It is measurable. Lunari instruments can detect its resonance, track its tides, and map the nodes where its threads cross. They call those intersections leyline convergences — places where the Weave is dense enough to pierce.
Stars are gateways.
Moons regulate magical tides.
Souls leave echoes within reality.
Celestial alignments weaken the barriers between worlds — sometimes dangerously so.
The Leyline Network
Leylines are the structural veins of the Astral Weave as they pass through the physical world. They carry ambient magical current between the convergence nodes left behind when the Shattering forced multiple planes into one. Where leylines are dense, magic is abundant and reality is slightly unstable. Where they are absent, the land feels hollow — drained of depth.
Lunari cartographers have charted seven Primary Leyline Arcs across Lumeris, each corresponding to one of the original worlds that was pulled into the convergence. These arcs do not follow geography — they cut through mountains, beneath seas, and across sky islands without regard for terrain. Their intersections are called Veil Nodes.
Veil Nodes are dangerous and prized in equal measure. Settlements built atop them benefit from powerful ambient magic. They also draw arcane storms, rogue elementals, and occasionally — tearing events where a membrane between two planes temporarily dissolves.
The Primary Veil Node
The primary Veil Node, located at the geographic center of Lumeris, believed to sit directly above the Luminary Heart itself. Magic here is wild and extraordinarily dense.
Where Hostile Planes Meet
A node where two planar remnants of hostile origin meet. Reality flickers at the Crossing — travelers sometimes pass through and emerge hours or days displaced.
The Lunari Moon's Death-Energy
A leyline fracture point where the Lunari moon's death-energy entered Lumeris during the convergence. The scar bleeds pale silver light on nights of the full moon.
Beneath Ironvault
A subterranean node deep beneath the Dwarven hold of Ironvault. The Dwarves have built their forge-engines around it without fully understanding what powers them.
The Humming Arc
A leyline arc that passes through Catfolk and Centaur territory. It hums audibly at dawn and dusk — some say it carries the voices of the dead.
The Sleeping Giants
Before the Shattering, each collapsing world was anchored in reality by a Titan — a primordial entity of immense power who had shaped that plane's fundamental laws. The Minotaur Titan Gorath the Labyrinth Maker, the unnamed Fae Weaver who spun the Spiral, the Drakari Elemental Fathers — each was the living keystone of their world.
When those worlds fell, the Titans did not die. They could not. Instead they were drawn into Lumeris alongside the land fragments they had shaped, and they sleep — buried beneath the continents, beneath the seas, beneath the weight of a world that is not entirely theirs. Their dreams fuel the magic that saturates the regions built from their original planes.
The Lunari identified seven Titan Seals — points where a Titan's sleeping body is anchored to Lumeris through a convergence scar. These Seals are what prevent each Titan from waking inside an alien world and tearing it apart in confusion. They are old. They are cracking.
Gorath the Labyrinth Maker
Gorath the Labyrinth Maker sleeps beneath the Minotaur homeland. His Seal is the most stable of the seven — reinforced by the Minotaurs' own ancestral rites over millennia.
The Unnamed Fae Weaver
The unnamed Fae Weaver is entombed in a dense leyline cluster beneath the oldest Fae forest. Lunari scholars believe the Weaver is already semi-conscious. The forest has been growing faster for decades.
The Five Elemental Fathers
The five Elemental Fathers of the Drakari are sealed together in a volatile node in the volcanic range. When they stir in their sleep, the mountain breathes fire.
The Unnamed Titan of Vast Emptiness
An unnamed Titan of vast emptiness rests beneath the Hollow Crossing. Lunari researchers will not study it directly. Their instruments behave incorrectly near it.
The Sea-Titan of the Merfolk
A sea-Titan responsible for the original world of the Merfolk lies beneath the deepest ocean shelf. The unusual tidal patterns around Lumeris are attributed to its slow dreaming.
The Lunari estimate that at current degradation rates, two of the seven Seals will fail within a single mortal lifetime. They have not published which two.
The Broken Moons Prophecy

Lumeris has three moons. Each arrived with the convergence, torn from a different dying world. The Lunari named them the Pale Witness, the Amber Tide, and the Shattered Crown. They have tracked these moons' movements since their earliest scholars first built observatories in Lumeris, and they have found something deeply wrong.
Losing orbital coherence. Its path through the sky is measurably less stable each decade.
Pulses with a rhythmic energy that the Lunari associate with an approaching alignment — the same alignment described in the oldest celestial texts as a gateway event.
True to its name, a moon that appears partly broken — a jagged arc of rock held together by what the Lunari believe is residual magical cohesion. That cohesion is weakening.
The Broken Moons Prophecy
Transcribed from a pre-convergence Lunari text
"When the three moons fall into alignment, the Veil will remember what it was before the gathering."
"The Seals will answer the alignment with trembling."
"What was gathered will feel the pull of what it was."
"And the Heart will have to choose again."
Most scholars have treated this as symbolic. The Lunari astronomers insist it is not. Their current calculations place the triple alignment approximately forty years from the present Age of Arrival. Some of the eldest Lunari seers say it is sooner.
The alignment will awaken sleeping Titans
The Luminary Heart will be forced to either re-gather or release the world
Lumeris will either survive as something new — or return to the void it was gathered from
